Project Summary

Acting as a Prime Contractor, Ehmke Manufacturing Company has successfully executed two (2) consecutive 5-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) government contracts to supply the fabric components used on the U.S. Army’s Mobile Kitchen Trailer (MKT) system.

These contracts are structured so Ehmke Manufacturing Company can make Direct Vendor Deliveries (DVD) to military end-users anywhere in the world within a delivery window of seven (7) days.

Ehmke Manufacturing Company is responsible for planning, manufacturing and maintaining the necessary inventory levels to react to any surge or emergent delivery requirement. The MKT fabric items included roof canopies, cutlery rolls, side curtains, screens & netting and travel covers.

The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) is the Troop Support Center of the Defense Logistics Agency, which is the Department of Defense’s buying activity. DSCP provides the United States Armed Forces with food, clothing, textiles, medicines, medical equipment, and construction supplies and equipment. DSCP’s mission also supports the United States’ humanitarian and disaster relief efforts.
