Textiles are what we do. Since 1929, Ehmke Manufacturing Company’s core competency is to provide engineering support services and manufacture technical fabric products. Our company has adopted the latest fabrication and processing technology to adapt to changing market conditions and customer demands.

Throughout the years, Ehmke Manufacturing Company has produced over 8,000 products for the defense industry. From custom engine covers to ground support equipment and antenna transport covers, we can fulfill even the most demanding government contract.

We invest in our people the same way we invest in our equipment. In 2026, our cross-functional team of sales, finance, operations, quality, and leadership developed a prioritized roadmap of 22 AI-driven improvements that tie directly to our LEAN goals.

Certified Expertise & Flexible Production
Members of the Ehmke Manufacturing Company staff collectively hold all three of the professional certifications offered by our industry association, the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI). With staff engineers, our focus is to help make our customers’ concepts a reality or to enhance the form, fit or function of their product.
We maintain an extensive array of commercial, industrial, paraloft and military sewing machines (both single- and double-needled), box and bar tackers, computer-aided cutting tables, various presses and punch machines, fabric welding machines and grommet machines. The integration of these various machines into our LEAN Manufacturing flexible production lines allows Ehmke to produce a diverse product line of industrial and technical fabric items, including:

Our skilled operators undergo a rigorous training period and the company maintains an Operator Cross Training Program as dictated by our ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100:2016 Quality Manual Continuous Improvement sections.
